Mestia is a highland townlet in northwest Georgia, at an elevation of 1500m in the Caucasus Mountains.General informationMestia is located in the Svaneti region of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti province, some 128km northeast of the regional capital of Zugdidi. On the 5th (Fri), take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Nicholas Church, then hit the slopes at Khatsvali Ski Resort, then examine the collection at Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography, and finally see the interesting displays at Mikheil Khegiani House Museum.
