Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Wed): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chapelle Des Pénitents Blancs, get to know the fascinating history of Saint-Paul de Vence, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Eglise St Pierre & Paul. On the 22nd (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the galleries of Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild, kick back and relax at Coco Beach, and then get to know the fascinating history of Vieille Ville.

You'll discover tucked-away gems like Roman Theatre of Orange and Amphitheatre (les Arenes). Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Avignon: Forteresse de Mornas (in Mornas), Tours et Remparts d'Aigues-Mortes (in Aigues-Mortes) and Vignobles Mayard (in Chateauneuf-du-Pape).
