Start off your visit on the 5th (Fri): admire the natural beauty at Chateau de Villandry and then examine the collection at Chateau de Chenonceau. On your second day here, steep yourself in history at Chateau de Langeais, then take in nature's colorful creations at Chateau du Rivau, and then step into the grandiose world of Chateau of Azay-le-Rideau.

Le Lavandou is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. Take a break from the city and head to Plage de Jean Blanc and Plage de Cavaliere. Change things up with these side-trips from Le Lavandou: La Ponche Beach (in Saint-Tropez) and La Croix-Valmer (Plage de Sylvabelle & Plage de Gigaro).
