Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
On the 9th (Sat), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di San Pietro, then explore the world behind art at Vatican Museums, and then contemplate the long history of Colosseum. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 10th (Sun): don't miss a visit to Pantheon and then steep yourself in history at Palatine Hill.

Los Angeles, USA to Rome is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from Pacific Standard Time (PST) to Central European Time (CET), which is usually a 9 hour difference. When traveling from Los Angeles in June, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Rome: temperatures range from 84°F by day to 65°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 10th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Nice.

Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Do some cultural sightseeing at La Croisette and Rue d'Antibes. Take a break from the city and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Plage de Passable. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild and enjoy the sand and surf at Coco Beach.

Traveling by flight from Rome to Nice takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. Start off your visit on the 17th (Sun): admire the masterpieces at Rijksmuseum, admire the masterpieces at Van Gogh Museum, and then get engrossed in the history at Anne Frank House. On the 18th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take an in-depth tour of The Resistance Museum (Amsterdams Verzetsmuseum), then explore the world behind art at Museum Het Rembrandthuis (Rembrandt House), then take in the architecture and atmosphere at De Duif, and finally wander the streets of The Jordaan.

Take a train from Paris to Amsterdam in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train, bus, and flight; or drive. In June, plan for daily highs up to 68°F, and evening lows to 53°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
