Get some historical perspective at Nyhavn and Frederiksborg Castle. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Torvehallerne and National Gallery of Denmark. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Copenhagen: Frederiksborg Slotskirke (in Hillerod) and Roskilde (Viking Ship Museum & Roskilde Domkirke).
