One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
On the 7th (Sat), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wawel Cathedral, take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Mary's Basilica, then have fun at Shooting in Krakow - Cracow Shooting Academy - Strzelnica Krakow, and finally Head underground at Wieliczka Salt Mine.

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
On the 8th (Sun), take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), test the waters at a local thermal spa, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Matthias Church, and finally steep yourself in history at Fisherman's Bastion. On the next day, snap pictures at Szechenyi Chain Bridge, ponder the world of politics at Parliament, then pause for some photo ops at Hősök tere, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at University Church, and finally steep yourself in history at Liberty Statue.

The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Bring the kids along to Schonbrunn Palace and Schönbrunn Zoo. Pack the 11th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Prater. There's much more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Stephen's Cathedral, admire the masterpieces at Belvedere Palace, see the interesting displays at Imperial Palace (Hofburg), and admire the landmark architecture of Rathaus.
