Carnac is a commune beside the Gulf of Morbihan on the south coast of Brittany in the Morbihan department in north-western France.Its inhabitants are called Carnacois in French. Kids will appreciate attractions like Carnac stones and Centre Historique de Vannes. Change things up with these side-trips from Carnac: Pointe du Conguel (in Quiberon), Parc Animalier et Botanique de Branfere (in Le Guerno) and Ville Close de Concarneau (in Concarneau). On the 26th (Wed), get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Oceanopolis and then make a splash at La Recre des Trois Cures. Here are some ideas for day two: take some stellar pictures from Pointe de Pen-al-Lann, step into the grandiose world of Chateau du Taureau, thenhead off the coast to Ile Callot, and finally step off the mainland to explore Ile de Batz.

Once the feared base of pirates and heavily fortified against Norman attacks, today's coastal Saint-Malo is one of the top tourist draws.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Les Remparts de Saint-Malo and Le Grand Be. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Saint-Malo: Cap d'Erquy (in Erquy), Parc du Thabor (in Rennes) and Plevenon (Fort La Latte & Cap Fréhel).
