Vernon

Vernon is a city in the Okanagan region of the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada. Kick off your visit on the 28th (Wed): let little ones run wild at Davison Orchards Country Village and then kick back and relax at Kal Beach. Here are some ideas for day two: brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery and then learn about winemaking at Gray Monk Estate Winery.

Grande Prairie to Vernon is an approximately 10.5-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and car. The time zone difference moving from Mountain Standard Time to Pacific Standard Time is minus 1 hour. In July, Vernon is a bit warmer than Grande Prairie - with highs of 34°C and lows of 15°C. On the 30th (Fri), you're off to Kelowna.

At the heart of British Columbia's wine country, Kelowna is at once both urban and rural, featuring a modern downtown encircled by picturesque hills carpeted with vineyards and orchards.

Known as "Hollywood North," Vancouver boasts one of the largest film/television industries in the world, second only to Los Angeles and New York.
