Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Fri): examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, get great views at Rotary Lookout Albany, then steep yourself in history at The Albany Convict Gaol & Museum, and finally kick back and relax at Greens Pool. On your second day here, see the interesting displays at Albany's Historic Whaling Station, then take in the dramatic natural features at The Gap and Natural Bridge, and then take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.
Go for a jaunt from Perth to Fremantle to see Fremantle Prison about 32 minutes away. Dedicate the 7th (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. And it doesn't end there: take in nature's colorful creations at Kings Park and Botanic Garden, explore the activities along Swan River, pause for some photo ops at State War Memorial, and take a leisurely stroll along Elizabeth Quay.

You can fly from Albany to Perth in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Albany in November, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Perth: temperatures range from 33°C by day to 15°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
