On the 16th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take a stroll through Odaiba and then make a trip to Tokyo Tower.

Sitting at the foot of Mount Fuji, Hakone-machi has become a popular retreat from Tokyo for locals and tourists alike.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Fri): explore the world behind art at The Hakone Open-Air Museum, then explore the activities along Lake Ashi (Ashinoko), then explore the world behind art at Narukawa Art Museum, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Tenkakudai.

Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sat): admire the masterpieces at Hida Takayama Museum of Art, admire the striking features of Takayama Jinya, then see the interesting displays at Hirata Folk Art Museum (Hirata Kinen-kan), then get engrossed in the history at Hida Folk Archeological Museum (Hida Minzoku Kokokan), and finally examine the collection at Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall.

Drive from Hakone-machi to Takayama in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Hakone-machi in April, plan for a bit warmer days and little chillier nights in Takayama: temperatures range from 63°F by day to 47°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Kyoto.
