A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.
On the 17th (Sun), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Mary's Cathedral. A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Yallingup Beach and Meelup Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at Redgate Wines and Howard Park - Margaret River Winery and Cellar Door. Explore Margaret River's surroundings by going to Yallingup (Canal Rocks & Yallingup Galleries) and Water wheel (in Augusta). There's much more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Sunflowers Animal Farm, cruise along Caves Road, view the masterpieces at Vasse Felix Winery, and kick back and relax at Hamelin Bay.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll get in some beach time at Little Beach and Emu Point. Discover out-of-the-way places like The Albany Convict Gaol & Museum and Chainsaw Sculpture Drive. Go for a jaunt from Albany to Denmark to see Elephant Rocks about 50 minutes away. There's still lots to do: pause for some photo ops at Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, kick back and relax at Middleton Beach, and don't miss a visit to Mt Melville Lookout.

Getting from Margaret River to Albany by car takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of bus and flight. In May in Albany, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 10°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Sun) early enough to travel to Broome.

A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Mon): take a memorable tour with Tours, thenstroll the grounds of Japanese Cemetery, and then examine the collection at SSJG Heritage Centre Broome. On the 26th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Roebuck Bay and then see the world from above with a helicopter tour.
