Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Venture out of the city with trips to Padua (Orto Botanico di Padova, Basilica of St. Anthony, &more) and Verona (Palazzo Turchi, Cappella dei Notai, &more). There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Doge's Palace, take in panoramic vistas at St Mark's Campanile, explore the world behind art at Gallerie dell'Accademia, and see the interesting displays at Museo Ebraico di Venezia.

To find where to stay, maps, photos, and more tourist information, you can read our Venice trip planning website.

Brasilia, Brazil to Venice is an approximately 16- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from Brasilia Standard Time (BRT) to Central European Standard Time (CET), which is usually a 4 hour difference. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Brasilia in June since evenings lows in Venice dip to 20°C. On the 6th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
