The popular hill station of Nainital was named after the pear-shaped lake around which the resort town has evolved.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Wed): explore the activities along Nainital Lake, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Goddess Naina Devi, then look for all kinds of wild species at Pangot and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary, and finally take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Naina Peak. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the waterfront views at Bhimtal Lake, look for all kinds of wild species at Butterfly Research Centre and Fundraiser Cafe, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Ghorakhal Golu Devta Temple, and finally stop by The Pahari Store.
