Traveling by car from Asheville to Charlotte takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or take a bus. When traveling from Asheville in August, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Charlotte: temperatures range from 88°F by day to 69°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Wed) early enough to drive to Raleigh.
