Cotton Castle

A popular spa since the second century BCE, the modern city of Pamukkale continues to draw worldwide attention with its hot springs and travertines--naturally formedĀ calcite bathing pools.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Sun): explore the different monuments and memorials at Anatolia Cemetery, delve into the distant past at Hierapolis, and then take in the natural beauty of Pamukkale Thermal Pools. On the next day, soar above the sights with a balloon tour, push the limits with an extreme tour, and then explore the fascinating underground world of Kaklik Cave.

Traveling by flight from Istanbul to Pamukkale takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) so you can go by car to Selcuk.

An ideal base camp for exploring the Aegean coastline, Selcuk draws big tourist crowds due to its proximity to the ancient city of Ephesus.
On the 14th (Tue), examine the collection at Ephesus Museum, explore the ancient world of Ancient City of Ephesus, then explore the ancient world of Heracles Gate, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House). On the next day, look for gifts at Lilys Authentic Art carpets and textiles shop, then stop by Sultan Carpet and Kilim, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Isa Bey Mosque, and finally cool off at Aqua Fantasy- Aquapark Hotel & SPA.

You can drive from Pamukkale to Selcuk in 3 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 41°C in July, and nighttime lows around 25°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Bodrum City.

Bodrum City

More than a million tourists visit Bodrum City each year, drawn by its sandy beaches and luxury hotels.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Thu): explore the historical opulence of Castle of St. Peter, then look for gifts at Moden Leather Shop, then admire the masterpieces at Zeki Muren Arts Museum, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Gun Batimi Plaji.
