Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Here are some ideas for day two: steep yourself in history at Cascades Female Factory Historic Site, take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, and then take a leisurely stroll along Constitution Dock.

Sydney to Hobart is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train, ferry, and bus; or do a combination of bus and ferry. Traveling from Sydney in March, expect Hobart to be a bit cooler, temps between 25°C and 13°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Swansea.

Binalong Bay is a small coastal town in north-east Tasmania, situated at the southern end of the Bay of Fires.
