Located in the popular holiday region of Ticino, Lugano is the largest Italian-speaking town in Switzerland.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Sat): do a tasting at Tamborini Vini, contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Lugano, then delve into the distant past at Monte San Giorgio, and finally stroll through Monte San Salvatore. Chur or Coire is the capital and largest town of the Swiss canton of Grisons and lies in the Grisonian Rhine Valley, where the Rhine turns towards the north, in the northern part of the canton. Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Mon): wander the streets of Heididorf, then steep yourself in history at Old Town Chur, and then fly down the slopes at Lenzerheide Ski Resort.
