Palm-fringed beaches with golden sand, turquoise water, and a colorful coral reef are enough to draw any beachgoer to Unawatuna, but there's plenty to do off the beach here as well.Start off your visit on the 25th (Thu): kick back and relax at Mirissa Beach, then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour, and then stroll through Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery - Habaraduwa. On your second day here, steep yourself in history at Galle Fort, take in the exciting artwork at Pilgrims Lounge Chrishtopher Handicraft and Paint Gallery, then don't miss a visit to Japanese Peace Pagoda, and finally kick back and relax at Jungle Beach.
