Once a small fishing town, Yokohama was one of the first ports to welcome foreign trade in the 19th century, after which it grew into Japan's second largest city and a bustling metropolis.
Explore hidden gems such as The Hakone Open-Air Museum and Flower Fields of Chikura-cho. Relax by the water at Mitsuishi Beach and Kembutsu Beach. Change things up with these side-trips from Yokohama: Awa Jinja (in Tateyama), Hakone-machi (Hakone Stone‐paved Road & Lake Ashi (Ashinoko)) and Kamakura (Kotoku-in (Great Buddha of Kamakura), Hase-dera Temple, & more).
