Culebra

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
On the 20th (Mon), kick back and relax at Playa Punta Soldado Beach, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Tamarindo. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 21st (Tue): tour the pleasant surroundings at Flamenco Beach.

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Take a break from the city and head to Balneario Sun Bay and Stand-Up Paddleboarding. Step off the beaten path and head to Playa Navio and Isla Vida. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Playa La Chiva, stroll through Playa Caracas, admire the landmark architecture of Puerto Ferro Lighthouse, and take in the waterfront at Malecon.
