Although its history goes back a thousand years, Gdansk represents one of Poland's most modern urban centers, its thriving economy boosted by a lively tourism sector.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Tue): kick back and relax at Stogi Beach and then steep yourself in history at Westerplatte. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Mary's Church, wander the streets of Old Town, thenmake a trip to Dluga Street (ul. Dluga), and finally paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour.
