Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Fri): take an in-depth tour of Museo Larco, then admire the striking features of Palacio de Torre Tagle, and then make a trip to Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor). On your second day here, steep yourself in history at Huaca Pucllana, then visit Miraflores, then don't miss a visit to Circuito Magico Del Agua, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas.

Tehran, Iran to Lima is an approximately 13-hour flight. You can also fly. The time zone difference moving from Iran Standard Time to Peru Standard Time is minus 8.5 hours. When traveling from Tehran in September, plan for much colder days and a bit cooler nights in Lima: temperatures range from 22°C by day to 18°C at night.
