Hexham is a market town and civil parish in Northumberland, England, south of the River Tyne, and was the administrative centre for the Tynedale district from 1974 to 2009. Explore Hexham's surroundings by going to National Trust Wallington (in Morpeth), Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre (in Kielder) and Hareshaw Linn (in Bellingham). There's still lots to do: stroll through Falconry Days, get engrossed in the history at Vindolanda, contemplate the long history of Housesteads Roman Fort - Hadrian's Wall, and make a trip to Sycamore Gap.
