Canberra to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also fly; or drive. Traveling from Canberra to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, you'll gain 0.5 hours due to the time zone difference. Prepare for a bit warmer weather when traveling from Canberra in October: high temperatures in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park hover around 38°C and lows are around 18°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Sun) early enough to travel to Alice Springs.

You can fly from Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to Alice Springs in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In November, daily temperatures in Alice Springs can reach 40°C, while at night they dip to 21°C. You'll set off for Katherine on the 1st (Sun).

Katherine is a town in Northern Territory, Australia. Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Mon): explore the wealth of natural beauty at Katherine Hot Springs, view the masterpieces at MiMi Aboriginal Art & Craft, then see the world from above with a helicopter tour, and finally explore the striking landscape at Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge. On your second day here, paddle through the water with Gecko Canoeing & Trekking, take in the dramatic scenery at Edith Falls, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Low Level Nature Reserve.

Getting from Alice Springs to Katherine by flight takes about 6 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Alice Springs in November, things will get somewhat warmer in Katherine: highs are around 44°C and lows about 29°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Jabiru (Kakadu National Park).

Jabiru is a town in the Northern Territory of Australia. Spend the 4th (Wed) exploring ancient history at Ubirr. Getting from Katherine to Jabiru (Kakadu National Park) by car takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and car; or take a bus. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) so you can go by car to Darwin.

The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.

On the 7th (Sat), identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas.

You can drive from Jabiru (Kakadu National Park) to Darwin in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. November in Darwin sees daily highs of 39°C and lows of 28°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
