Venture out of the city with trips to Atlantic City Boardwalk (in Atlantic City) and Ocean City (Ocean City Beach & Ocean City Boardwalk). There's still lots to do: relax in the rural setting at Jersey Shore Alpacas, enjoy the sand and surf at Cape May City Beaches, browse the exhibits of Emlen Physick Estate, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Sunset Beach.
