Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
SCMAGLEV and Railway Park and Nagoya City Science Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Popular historic sites such as Hosho-in (Osu Kannon) and Gifu Castle / Inabayama Castle are in your itinerary. When in Nagoya, make a side trip to see Koran Valley in Toyota, approximately 1h 05 min away. And it doesn't end there: get a taste of the local shopping with Sakae, don't miss a visit to Osu Shopping Street, take in panoramic vistas at Heiwa Park Aqua Tower, and meet the residents at Higashiyama Zoo & Botanical Garden.
