The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Old Ito Denemon House and Asahi Breweries Hakata Brewery. Get outdoors at Tsutsukihama Beach and Nijino Matsubara.
