Mesa is a city in Maricopa County, in the U.S. Get out of town with these interesting Mesa side-trips: Boyce Thompson Arboretum (in Superior) and Scottsdale (Taliesin West & McDowell Sonoran Preserve). And it doesn't end there: take a stroll through Old Town Scottsdale, indulge your senses at some of the top wineries in the area, walk around Usery Mountain Regional Park, and pause for some serene contemplation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

Yakima to Mesa is an approximately 8-hour combination of car and flight. You can also drive. The time zone difference when traveling from Yakima to Mesa is 1 hour. Despite its relatively small size, Sedona overflows with tourist appeal.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Fri): take in the dramatic natural features at Bell Rock, thenadmire all the interesting features of Red Rock Scenic Byway (SR 179), and then soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers. Keep things going the next day: stop by Trailhead Tea and then explore the striking landscape at Cathedral Rock.

Traveling by car from Mesa to Sedona takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and shuttle; or fly. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Mesa in February; daily highs in Sedona reach °F and lows reach °F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Grand Canyon National Park.
