Orchard City

At the heart of British Columbia's wine country, Kelowna is at once both urban and rural, featuring a modern downtown encircled by picturesque hills carpeted with vineyards and orchards.
Get out of town with these interesting Kelowna side-trips: Sumac Ridge Estate Winery (in Summerland), Oliver (Hester Creek Estate Winery & River Stone Estate Winery) and Penticton (Penticton Farmers' Market & Skaha Lake Park). There's still lots to do: awaken your taste buds at some of the top wineries in the area, do a tasting at The Vibrant Vine, contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Okanagan, and push the limits with an extreme tour.

Though it suffers from frigid temperatures for much of the year, Edmonton offers a range of tourist activities for all four seasons.
Edmonton is known for shopping, theme parks, and nightlife. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: find something for the whole family at Fort Edmonton Park, stroll through Muttart Conservatory, appreciate the extensive heritage of Old Strathcona, and get to know the resident critters at Edmonton Valley Zoo.
