Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Sat): steep yourself in history at Nagoya Castle, identify plant and animal life at Cherry Trees along the Gojo River bank, thenbuy something for everyone on your list at Uni Mall, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sokenji- Temple. Singapore, Singapore to Nagoya is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Singapore to Nagoya. Prepare for cooler weather when traveling from Singapore in March: high temperatures in Nagoya hover around 13°C and lows are around 7°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Kanazawa.

Traveling by car from Nagoya to Kanazawa takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Traveling from Nagoya in March, expect slightly colder with lows of 3°C in Kanazawa. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Takayama.

You can drive from Kanazawa to Takayama in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. March in Takayama sees daily highs of 13°C and lows of 3°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Fri) to allow time to travel to Yoro-cho.
