Start off your visit on the 16th (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Josenji Temple, steep yourself in history at Old Horikiri House, explore the world behind art at Fukushima Kataoka Tsurutaro Art Garden, take in the spiritual surroundings of Haguro Shrine, then steep yourself in history at Fukushima Gokoku Shrine, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Shinobuyama Temmangu Shrine.

Getting from Tokyo to Fukushima by car takes about 4 hours. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Tokyo in November, with highs in Fukushima at 13°C and lows at 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Mon) so you can travel to Osaka.

Proud of their hometown's distinct culture and dialect, many natives of Osaka describe their city as "Japan's anti-capital." An antidote to Tokyo's hectic energy, Osaka marches to the beat of its own drum, serving as the country's longtime commercial and industrial hub.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Tue): steep yourself in history at Osaka Castle, then contemplate the long history of Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, then take a stroll through Minami (Namba), and finally take a stroll through Dotombori District. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Toshodai-ji Temple, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kasuga Grand Shrine, admire the landmark architecture of Nara National Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kofuku-ji Temple, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Nigatsu-do Temple.

An old castle town largely unspoiled during World War II, Kanazawa features well-preserved architecture spread across a range of districts.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Thu): examine the collection at D. T. Suzuki Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Ninja Temple, contemplate the long history of Nomura Family Samurai House, then buy something for everyone on your list at Kanazawa Hyakubangai Shopping Center, then take in the pleasant sights at Gyokusen-immaru Garden, and finally steep yourself in history at Oyama Shrine.

Traveling by car from Osaka to Kanazawa takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or fly. In November, daytime highs in Kanazawa are 17°C, while nighttime lows are 8°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
