Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Sun): wander the streets of Odaiba and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sensō-ji. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 11th (Mon): admire the masterpieces at Tokyo National Museum, then wander the streets of Ginza, then wander the streets of Takeshita Street, and finally see the interesting displays at Samurai Museum.

Melbourne, Australia to Tokyo is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. The time zone difference when traveling from Melbourne to Tokyo is minus 1 hour. When traveling from Melbourne in November, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Tokyo: temperatures range from 19°C by day to 11°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Mon) to allow time to travel to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Get a sense of the local culture at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Get some historical perspective at Eikando Zenrinji Temple and Chion-in Temple. Step out of Kyoto to go to Osaka and see Dotonbori, which is approximately 1h 10 min away. And it doesn't end there: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kinkaku-ji, step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, don't miss a visit to Gion, and steep yourself in history at Sanjusangendo Temple.

Traveling by train from Tokyo to Kyoto takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In November in Kyoto, expect temperatures between 19°C during the day and 10°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Ishigaki.

Start off your visit on the 15th (Fri): enjoy the sand and surf at Kondoi Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Yonehara Beach, and then enjoy breathtaking views from Tamatorizaki Observatory.

Getting from Kyoto to Ishigaki by combination of train and flight takes about 6 hours. Other options: fly. When traveling from Kyoto in November, plan for a bit warmer days in Ishigaki, with highs around 31°C, while nights are much hotter with lows around 25°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) to allow time to travel to Miyakojima.

Miyakojima

Miyakojima
A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Sat): stroll through Toguchi no Hama, take in the views from Kurima Bridge, then kick back and relax at Yonaha Maehama Beach, and finally snap pictures at Irabu Ohashi. On the next day, tour the pleasant surroundings at Sunayama Beach, then kick back and relax at Aragusuku Beach, and then enjoy the sea views from Higashi Hennazaki Lighthouse.

You can fly from Ishigaki to Miyakojima in 2 hours. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in November, and nighttime lows around 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
