The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Sat): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Toji, then make a trip to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and then wander the streets of Gion. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, identify plant and animal life at Nara Park, and then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Wakakusa.

Singapore, Singapore to Kyoto is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Standard Time to Japan Standard Time is 1 hour. Traveling from Singapore in April, expect Kyoto to be colder, temps between 22°C and 11°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Yoshino-cho.

Fujiyoshida

A gateway to the volcano, Fujiyoshida sits in the shadow of a giant, and everything across the city seemingly points toward the iconic symbol of national pride, Mount Fuji.
