A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
On the 10th (Sun), kick back and relax at Sunayama Beach, take in the views from Kurima Bridge, then stroll through Yonaha Maehama Beach, and finally take in the views from Irabu Ohashi. Here are some ideas for day two: see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour and then kick back and relax at Aragusuku Beach.

Traveling by combination of flight and train from Miyakojima to Hiroshima takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. Traveling from Miyakojima in November, expect nights in Hiroshima to be cooler, around 11°C, while days are little chillier, around 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Fri): take in the spiritual surroundings of Eikando Zenrinji Temple, contemplate the long history of Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, and then contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 16th (Sat): step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kinkaku-ji, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ryoanji Temple, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Chion-in Temple, and finally steep yourself in history at Sanjusangendo Temple.

Take a train from Hiroshima to Kyoto in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In November, daytime highs in Kyoto are 19°C, while nighttime lows are 10°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Sat) early enough to travel to Tokyo.
