Gold Coast, Australia to Tokyo is an approximately 13-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. Expect a bit warmer weather when traveling from Fujikawaguchiko-machi in March: highs in Kyoto hover around 16°C, while lows dip to 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Fri) so you can take a train to Osaka.
