Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Sun): take a stroll through Odaiba and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple. On your second day here, make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine, then admire the landmark architecture of Tokyo Tower, then contemplate the long history of Tokyo National Museum, and finally wander the streets of Akihabara.

Beijing, China to Tokyo is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone difference moving from China Standard Time (CST) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is 1 hour. Expect somewhat warmer temperatures when traveling from Beijing in November; daily highs in Tokyo reach 19°C and lows reach 11°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Tue) early enough to catch the train to Nagoya.

Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Tue): step into the grandiose world of Nagoya Castle, tour the pleasant surroundings at Cherry Trees along the Gojo River bank, see the interesting displays at Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, take in the spiritual surroundings of Atsuta Jingu Shrine, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hosho-in (Osu Kannon), and finally wander the streets of Sakae.

You can take a train from Tokyo to Nagoya in 2 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of flight and train. Traveling from Tokyo in November, expect nights in Nagoya to be about the same, around 11°C, while days are slightly colder, around 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Wed) early enough to catch the train to Kyoto.

On your second day here, wander the streets of Gion, then step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Kinkaku-ji, and finally make a trip to Eikando Zenrinji Temple.

You can take a train from Nagoya to Kyoto in an hour. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In November, daytime highs in Kyoto are 19°C, while nighttime lows are 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a train to Osaka.
