Way out west, the small city of Dwarka has a long history of pilgrimage, as a place central to Hindu mythology and belief.

You can drive from Somnath to Dwarka in 3.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Fri) early enough to travel to Kutch.

Home to India's largest salt marsh, Kutch lies on a flat tortoise-shaped piece of land at the India-Pakistan border.
