A monumental number of archaeological relics from ancient Egypt remain evident in Luxor, the former capital of the New Kingdom.
Valley of the Kings and Luxor Temple are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get some historical perspective at Temple of Karnak and Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut). There's lots more to do: explore the ancient world of Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, make a trip to Deir el-Shelwit Temple, stop by Isis 2 Papyrus Museum, and admire all the interesting features of ACE- Animal Care in Egypt.

An enviable location on the southern end of the Sinai Peninsula and year-round warm weather boost tourism in Sharm El Sheikh and make it one of Egypt's premier travel destinations.
For shopping fun, head to Na'ama Bay or SOHO Square. Get in touch with nature at Scuba & Snorkeling and Shark's Bay Beach. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Ras Um Sid and take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Heavenly Cathedral.

Traveling by flight from Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Luxor in November, Sharm El Sheikh is a bit warmer at night with lows of 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Wed) to allow time to travel to Cairo.
