New Delhi to Darjeeling is an approximately 4.5-hour combination of flight and taxi. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and taxi. When traveling from New Delhi in July, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Darjeeling: temperatures range from 38°C by day to 30°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sun) so you can go by car to Gangtok.

A charming historic town with many sacred sites cradled in a verdant valley, Paro offers a scenic base to explore the important Buddhist attractions and pristine nature around it.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Wed): examine the collection at National Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kyichu Lhakhang, and then contemplate the long history of Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest). Here are some ideas for day two: steep yourself in history at Rinpung Dzong, then take a memorable drive along Chele La Pass, and then steep yourself in history at Drukgyel Dzong.

Traveling by combination of taxi and flight from Gangtok to Paro takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. In July, plan for daily highs up to 29°C, and evening lows to 19°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Thimphu.

The kingdom's capital and most modern city, Thimphu offers a mix of ancient traditions and modern commercialism.

Getting from Paro to Thimphu by car takes about 1.5 hours. In July in Thimphu, expect temperatures between 29°C during the day and 19°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Gangtey.
