Puglia's capital city, Bari, is a growing metropolis of industry and one of the country's most important commercial ports.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Fri): get to know the fascinating history of Lungomare e Murat, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cattedrale di Bari, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Chiesa di San Giacomo, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cattedrale Maria SS. Famous for its resemblance to the ancient settlements of Jerusalem and Cappadocia, Matera remains one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world.
