Jewel of the Mediterranean
Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.Visiting Fenals Beach and Playa de la Pineda will get you outdoors. Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and Las Ramblas will appeal to history buffs. Explore Barcelona's surroundings by going to Salou (Capellans Beach & Illuminated Fountain), Cementiri de Tarragona (in Tarragona) and Beach Castelldelfels Barcelona (in Castelldefels). There's lots more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Parish Church of Sant Roma, appreciate the extensive heritage of El Barri Gòtic, wander the streets of Ciutat Vella, and contemplate the long history of Colonia Guell Gaudi Crypt.
