Signagi or Sighnaghi is a town in Georgia's easternmost region of Kakheti and the administrative center of the Signagi Municipality. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Nekresi Monastery Complex and Signagi City Walls. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Lagodekhi National Reserve and Gremi Citadel and Church of the Archangels. Get out of town with these interesting Signagi side-trips: Nelkarisi (Friends' Cellar) (in Shilda), Kvareli (Gremi & Graneli Winery) and Tsinandali Palace (in Tsinandali). It doesn't end there: take in the spiritual surroundings of Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. George’s Church.
