Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Alcazaba and Automobile and Fashion Museum. Museum-lovers will appreciate Museos del aguardiente anisado de Rute y Espana and Museo de Malaga. Venture out of the city with trips to Ronda (El Tajo de Ronda, Centro de Interpretacion del Puente Nuevo, & more), Experience Box Spain (in Marbella) and Museo de Velez (in Velez-Malaga). Sydney, Australia to Malaga is an approximately 28-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. A city of rich Moorish heritage, Seville is the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, and the site of numerous festivals throughout the year.
On the 2nd (Sat), pause for some serene contemplation at Catedral de Sevilla, explore the world behind art at Painter Amalio Museum, then steep yourself in history at Royal Tobacco Factory, then contemplate the long history of Royal Alcázar of Seville, and finally get engrossed in the history at Museo Musica Africana. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 3rd (Sun): admire the landmark architecture of Plaza de España, browse for treasures at Antiguedades el Museo, admire the striking features of Museo De Bellas Artes De Sevilla, then take in the exciting artwork at Ceramica Artistica Colon, and finally contemplate the long history of Museo Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija.

You can take a bus from Malaga to Seville in 2 hours. Other options are to take a train; or drive. Traveling from Malaga in January, expect nights in Seville to be about the same, around 7°C, while days are little chillier, around 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
