Cowes

— 1 day
Resting on the northern coast of Philip Island, Cowes is sandwiched between a coast and a forest.
On the 19th (Tue), explore the fascinating underground world of Forrest Caves, learn about all things military at National Vietnam Veterans Museum, step off the mainland to explore Koala Conservation Centre, then get in on the family fun at A Maze'N Things, and finally get to know the resident critters at The Nobbies Centre.

For more things to do, photos, other places to visit, and more tourist information, go to the Cowes day trip site.

Melbourne to Cowes is an approximately 2-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of train and taxi; or do a combination of train and bus. In January, daily temperatures in Cowes can reach 30°C, while at night they dip to 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Tue) early enough to drive back home.
