Fort Bennett, Black Rock

#38 of 116 in Things to do in Tobago
Take a peaceful stroll away from the sun's rays at Fort Bennett, a Dutch built fort from the 1600s. Overlooking Grafton Beach, the fort was constructed to protect the island from foreign attacks. It features paved footpaths, lush green vegetation, and park benches where visitors can rest. Close to the entrance, two cannons are safely located in the recess. They demonstrate how the British battery once looked. Bring some lunch and a blanket to enjoy a picnic in the shade under the surrounding trees.
