With a shape often compared to a swan or a harp, Erasmus Bridge reflects the industrial yet creative character of the city. It stands 139 m (456 ft) tall and 802 m (2,631 ft) long above the Nieuwe Maas River, and connects the north and south sides of the city. Featured in Hollywood movies and seen in the Tour de France, the asymmetrical bridge is an icon of Rotterdam. You can cross by car or bus, or on foot or by bicycle.
