  • We should have visited this museum earlier. I captures the flooding event from various perspectives in a comprehensive way, also for children; recently my oldest told me that he wanted to go again. Some of the drama's that happened have been visualised there in a way that in few occasions brought tears to my eyes. We will go again.
  • An excellent museum. The following is from their website: in 1953, the Dutch were once again confronted with the power of the sea. The Watersnoodmuseum is a Dutch museum about the North Sea flood of 1953. The Flood Museum's collection is divided between the four caissons in Ouwerkerk, each with its own theme. English tours are available and most everything was understandable. Staff and volunteers were very pleasant and helpful. Nice gift shop. Parking lot.
