    This is not an ordinary castle or museum, but a manor house that is privately owned by a wealthy foundation that also owns lots of farms and farmland. This foundation was established by the last...  more »

    The castle itself is small, but the biggest that you will find in Friesland. It looks lovely, has some nicely decorated rooms (17th century) and also a lovely garden. To be honest it won't be in my.....  more »

    The garden is worth a visit if you are in the area. Another recommendation is the tour across the building, tourguide can do this in multiple languages and is patient and answers questions. Artwork is also recommended for those who love painted (medival)art with beautifull landscape, portrets.
