  • A huge building of the Museum invites you to explore. There you can spend two days. The most interesting of course painting by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, rococo and Waterloo.

  • This is only a art museum not a. Normal museum like I thought. Only go if you’re into old art of people that can’t draw or paint properly. The whole place is over hyped and boring. Only interesting ex...  more »
  • Reichs Museum is located in the Museum District, just near the Van Gogh Museum and the Museum of diamonds. The Museum is huge, so if you do not plan to take an audio guide be prepared that you will spend in it two-and-a-half to three hours. On the ground floor there is an exhibition dedicated to maritime conquests and the time when they were a great power. Beginning with the model ships, weapons collection, through glass, porcelain and other artistic values that brought home from distant lands. On the first floor is dominated by the Van Gogh self-portrait, while the other is reserved for suggests Rembrandt's own night watch. In the Museum you will see only part of the most famous Dutch painters, here you can see works of other artists such as eg. Toulouse Lautrec. Your movement through the Museum must be carefully, you would've happened to accidentally pripustite a part of it. The whole Museum is covered with excellent wi-fi.

  • The museum building itself is worth a visit, the architecture is beautiful. The exhibitions are all very good, and show the great variety of Dutch art. The main attractions such as Rembrandts' "night watch" are very busy and you are not likely to get a full view of the painting. Nevertheless it is worth the visit. If you go a bit outside of the beaten path you'll get more room to your self and actually have the time and space to admire the art. The Rijksmuseum is one of the most visited attraction in Amsterdam for a reason, it's absolutely worth a visit!
  • If you're an art lover, go early and plan to spend some time here. My husband and I visited and thought we were walking through at a fast pace, but still ended up spending four and a half hours here. It was so lovely. From paintings to antique furniture with intricate inlays to carved weapons, the Rijksmuseum has it all. A gorgeous collection. Don't leave Amsterdam without visiting!
  • Must go when in Amsterdam if you are remotely interested in Art. Your ticket is valid for a full day so you can walk in and out if needed. There are 3 floors on 2 sides of the building and paintings have been arranged my period. You can pickup an audio guide to learn more or just keep a lookout for the famous paintings mentioned in the pamphlet given along with your ticket. The souvenir shop is also very nice.
  • Very interesting! When i checked it online i did not feel too interested but we gave it a shot and we were very glad that we did. So many paintings and pieces of art. Spare at least two to three hours for this place to see it fully.
  • Definitely the best museum in Amsterdam! So much great art and a beautiful building as well. Can spend half the day here easy. Heading back in August and will be stopping here for sure. Check it out you won’t be disappointed!
