Hunt for souvenirs at Damrak, an avenue filled with small shops and historical buildings. Many people also come here at night for the large range of choices in restaurants and bars, but if you don't enjoy the party scene, you may want to choose a different location. Currency exchanges are also plentiful here, in case you need to change some bills. A partially filled canal runs along the walkway and serves as a busy route for canal boats. Get here easily via the GVB trams. Before you visit Amsterdam, use our trip planner to discover what you can do and see there.
